Last week we celebrated Matt's 1st Father's Day. We spent the day together as a family with lunch out and a little shopping. That evening we went to my sister's house for a cookout to celebrate Father's Day with the family and friends. Tucker gave his daddy a card and a book about fixing things. One day Matt can teach Tucker how to be Mr. Fix-It!

2 Months & Our 1st Father's Day
Beach Vacation
2 weeks ago, Tucker and I spent the week in Myrtle Beach, SC with my parents and sister. This was Tucker's 1st trip to the beach. Although very hot and sticky, the trip was fun. Tucker experienced the ocean, sand, and pool. He didn't seem to mind the pool as long as we kept moving around. We took Tucker down to the beach one night and were able to get some cute pictures of Tucker and the family. Tucker did well in the car until the 8 hour trip home turned into 12 due to traffic. We can't wait to go back to the beach with daddy in tow!

First Overnight Trip
This past Monday/Tuesday, Matt, Tucker, and I headed to Knoxville, TN with the rest of the family for the annual JCSCI Golf Tournament. This was Tucker's first overnight trip, which was a good test for this coming weeks trip to Myrtle Beach. Tucker met all of my dad's siblings and their families as well as Tucker's Great Great Aunt Ardie and Uncle Jerry who came down from Indiana. It was really cool to see 4 generations together...such special times! The JCSCI Tournament was a great success. Matt, Tucker, and I can't wait to do it all over again next year!

1 Month

Wow! Where has the last month gone? Tucker just had his 1 month doctor checkup. My baby is finally gaining weight. He now weighs 7lbs, 11oz and is 21.5 inches long. The doctor was very happy with his gain. Tucker also got his 2nd Hepatitis B shot. We go back in another month for his 2 month checkup. We have also received Tucker's baby pictures. They look amazing! I can't decide which ones to frame. Hard decision! :)

Tucker's Baptism & Mother's Day!
Last weekend was a very busy weekend for our family. After being gone for 16 days, Matt finally arrived home. Tucker, the boys, and I were very happy! Saturday was spent cleaning and preparing for a very busy Sunday. Sunday, not only was my 1st Mother's Day, but was also Tucker's Baptism. Tucker was Baptised at our church, St. Philips Episcopal Church in Donelson. We had many family and friends there including Tucker's God Mother Kim. Unfortunately, Tucker's God Father couldn't make it in from Nebraska to share in the festivities. After a beautiful service, everybody headed back to our house for a relaxing cookout. What a wonderful weekend with many memories!

T-minus less than 24 hours
Yikes! We are getting so anxious and excited! In less than 24 hours, we will no longer be 2...we will now be 3...Mommy, Daddy, and Baby Tucker! Today we had our last doctor visit. She said everything looks good (still breech). We are to arrive at the hospital at 10 am tomorrow and will be taken back for a c-section at noon. Within 10-15 minutes we should be able to say Happy Birthday Tucker!! We have been told that we will be in the hospital all weekend and will be able to come home on Monday. I can't wait to share pictures of Tucker with all of our family and friends. He is going to receive so much love! Both Matt and I as well as mom and dad will have our cells with us while at the hospital if anybody needs to reach us.

A Date Has Been Set
Today we went to the doctor for another checkup. We had an ultra sound done to make sure Tucker is doing well. He weighs approximately 6lbs 7oz. I was lucky enough to only gain 1 lb this week. Everything is looking good....except that Tucker does not want to cooperate. Tucker is breech, feet down. With this said, we have scheduled a c-section. It has been scheduled for noon on April 16th, just 2 weeks away. There is a very small chance that he would change positions. If this were to happen, they would cancel the c-section. I guess on a good note, we know exactly when he'll be here (unless I go into labor first) and we have 2 weeks to finish getting everything ready for his arrival.

Busy Month
Whew! It's been a busy month! Over the past month, Matt and I took Labor of Love (birthing) classes. These were very interesting and helpful. Matt even got to wear a pregnant body suit...hehe! I had my last baby shower which was thrown by my wonderful friends at the office. Tucker has received some of the cutest clothes and gifts. Matt and I met and interviewed with 2 different Pediatricians and have picked Tucker's Doctor. About 2 weeks ago, Matt and I met up with a professional photographer and had some maternity/belly pictures taken. We should get the proofs back soon and can't wait to share them with everybody. They sneak peak looked awesome. We had so much fun taking them! Today we had our 36 week checkup...wow...I can't believe I'm already 36 weeks! I have gained 3 more lbs, bringing me up to a total of 34lbs. I have dilated to 1.5-2. The Dr. thinks Tucker is still breech. We go back next week and will be checked again. They will also do an ultrasound. Depending on Tucker's position next week, we'll know whether or not a c-section is needed. Other than this, everything is going great! We've spent the month getting the nursery set up and will post pictures soon!

Baby Showers
Whew! What a fun and long weekend! I spent Saturday and Sunday with lots of friends and family at 2 different baby showers. We received so many great presents for Tucker and his nursery. Many of the items were from our baby registries. Surprisingly, we did not get very many outfits. At both of our baby showers, we asked everybody to bring a book to jump start Tucker's library. Just about everybody brought a book and wrote a message in it for Tucker. We received many great books and will enjoy reading them to Tucker when he gets here. We've already started reading to Tucker on occasion before heading to bed. This past weekend was so much fun! Although I was exhausted, I didn't want it to end! Thank you to all of my wonderful friends and family!!! We can't wait for you to meet baby Tucker!
